Last week; Work related visit to Chakan and while returning back realized that lunch time was over. Remembered one of the messages received in recent past regarding new eatery called Hotel Malhar, near Hotel Fern, Off-Nashik Road, Bhosri. Decided to take a pit-stop there for the meal.

Small eatery; recently started by Harshal Muluk (Mauli Misal) and partners.

Very basic plastic furniture, bright lighting, airy, neat and clean place with focus on MIDC crowd … seeking quick service, decent food and value for the money (I am also one of them).

Small menu; Maharashtrian non-veg food. Preparations of Egg, Chicken and Mutton in both Thali as well as “a la carte”. A few veg preparations like Pithla, Akhkha Masoor, Shev Bhaji etc and Thali as well. Solkadi too.

Tried-

Special Mutton Thali (Rs200):
Two Bhakhris, Rice, Mutton Masala/Fry, Egg Curry, Alani Rassa, Solkadi, Onion and Lemon.
Bhakhris were piping hot and made fresh. Mutton was tender and in brown base think gravy. The Egg was in red-brown base thin gravy. Both non veg preparations were very tasteful. They were high on spices and little mild on heat (chilli). Rassa was served unlimited.

Pithla-Bhakhri Thali (Rs 80):
Two Bhakhris, Rice, Pithala, Papad, Chutney, Oil, Onion and Lemon. Tasted Pithla-Bhakhi and it appeared nice.

Summary (out of 5)-
Ambiance: 3 (it is no frills eatery)
Food taste: 4
Food Quality: 4
Service: 4.5

Overall: 4

Worth Mentioning-
