Well, Saffron started a while ago on baner pashan link road with a caption about “specialty in sea food” but never attempted to try untill yesterday night when craving for fish led me there for late night dinner.

Two optios for seating a) inside b) outside under temporary structure covering.

Frankly, the outside seating arrangement and ambiance appears close to that we typically see at relatively decent permit rooms.

Opted to sit outside and the menu was presented. Three of those; out of which one was dedicated to sea food, second for other than sea food dining and last one for alcoholic beverages. A lot to choose from veg and non veg pan indian also including some Chinese preparations.

Sea food list has various popular dry, semi dry and wet prepaations with option to choose from king fish or surmai, white pomfret, black pomfret or halwa, mackerel or bhangra, bombay duck, shark, prawns, crab etc.

Asked for a mild beer Rs 250
Halwa Goan Fish cury Rs 320
Steam rice Rs 95
Having eaten Goan fish cury at many places including those in Kokan belt; while placing the order for fish cury, I asked the captin about the preparation to make sure I am ordering the rihgt stuff but the preparation was not the way I thought it to be.
Spicy tangy thin gravy with lesser coconut milk, two halves of kokam visible was decent in taste. 5 slices of fish out of which 3 were decent and two were partial made it good combination with rice.
Later, discussed with the manager and he told that I should have asked for kokani style preparation (not on menu for the item).
True input can only be possible after trying a few more preparations.
As of now
Average dining experience with slightly higher cost.
