Taareef was on the “list to visit” since long time and yesterday got a chance to go for late night dinner. Parking was the major issue even at 9 PM (road resurfacing work is in progress) and needed to park about 500 m away.

Small place, rustic looks, closely packed Wooden Furniture and Low illumination levels amounts to average ambiance.

Being Monday, the restaurant was not having hustle-bustle only few patrons were there. We were greeted with smile and table was suggested.

Decent menu having Mughlai, North Indian, Kashmiri, NW frontier and a few other preparations.

With Kiddo in the driver’s seat we went for Lucknowi Seekh Kabab Rs 252, fine mince treated with spices, roasted till brown, sprinkled with Chat Masala and served with Salad and tangy green dip. Excellent stuff to start with.

Dum Subz Handi Rs 207, Potato, mushrooms, capsicum, cauliflower and other crunchy vegetables in medium hot, somewhat spicy, yellow base thick gravy. Tasty.

Ajwain Lachcha Paratha Rs 63, Layered, fat soaked, soft and tender, perfect with Dum Subz Handi.

Steamed Rice Rs 126 Long grain basmati, absolutely white, warm. Decent.

It was too much for both of us to finish and we got doggy bags.

Steel utensils (rare to see). Service was quick.

Total was Rs 746 for two of us and the tax was Rs 35. Want to try Sikandari Raan in future visits.

Overheard a couple occupying table on the other side complaining that “Biryani is not good today”.
