Closer to Kolhapuri tastre but with spice related issues yet little superior and less on heat when compared with others in the same class at Pune.

Near Dhanukar colony, on main road, this outlet provides other options along with Kolhapuri style food. Options available in Thali as well as A La Karte in both Veg as well as Non Veg.

Specious hall with basic “typical dining hall type” furniture, illumination levels were good during day time, pictures of famous places and people (current and past) on the walls, fans to cool you down from the food as well as ambient heat, cleanliness was fine, filtered water available; totally average ambiance.
Cooperative staff but the service was bit slower

Two of us opted for Veg Thali as well as Chicken Special Thali.

Chulivarchi Chicken Tadka Thali@Rs280 had 3 types of Rassas. Alani, Pandhra and Tambda. Alani was yellow in color and mellow with taste of onion. Pandhra was slightly warm (chilli) in nature. Tambda was red and further warm and spicy. There were one serving each of chicken sukkah and chicken masala. The quality of chicken was average and both were mildly warm (chilli) but spicy. There were onions with touch of curd as well lemon slice. The bhakharis (of jwar) were bit thicker with very hard edges and getting separated in two layers. The bhakhris were becoming very hard and difficult to chew as they were becoming cold. Rice portion provided with the Thali was average. Average taste of food and relatively lesser spicy when compared to food available at similar restaurants at Kolhapur (say Parakh).

Veg Thali@Rs130 was much superior and along with Bhakhri it had portions of Usal, 3 Vegis, curd, Aaam Ras, Kharda, Pickle and Onion. The preparations were spicy and good in taste. It was worth the money paid.

Solkadhi@Rs25 was fresh, low on heat and tasteful.

Bottled water@Rs25.

Total Rs485 for two (not bad at all)

Worth Mentioning
Tandoor not operating right now (staff crunch)
A canine was moving in and out of the restaurant so does a rabbit!!! Would you like to share the space with them is the question.

Worth a visit!
