“One of the places on NH4 by-pass for great food-ambiance-price; surpasses the expectation!”

We visited V-Deck last week in the evening time. This place is an extension/expansion of Sadanand Regency towards front side of the hotel.

As we walked in, the place was illuminated with lagoon blue light which was radiating from the crystal clear pool in the middle. Conventional seating on the right, pool side cane-wooden canopies on the left, hotel at the front and bar towards the entry side; translucent pots with fluorescent green light at corners and select places; mild breeze, low noise levels. Frankly; it was mesmerizing view and surprisingly great ambiance which is not at all visible or felt from the road outside which is just 20 meters away. I felt a touch of Greek theme in overall ambiance.

We opted to occupy one of the canopies on the left pool side. The seats were very comfortable and nearly lounge type and there were large size cushions to make you bit more; if you want to. Very low illumination but table had a candle lamp.

It was detailed menu covering common global cuisines as well as some with some Indian specialties.

Lager beer to start with…

Lemon coriander soup: Not very clear and slightly thicker / little high on corn starch (forgot to request to chef that not to add); flavor and taste of coriander overpowered lemon; could have been better.

Tandoori Chicken: With taste of chat masala and spices, it was properly roasted from outside but tender and succulent inside. Nice!

Hara Cheese Kabab: Golden brown petties, properly done. Tasteful!

Burmese Khow Suey: Noodles were not too soft and not too hard either but just right. Little bit grease glaze and topped up with fried noodles. Served with separate gravy in a bowl along with condiments like fried garlic, chili flakes, fried onions, coriander, finely chopped spring onions and crushed peanut powder. Good!

Rajma Masala: Taste of the Gravy is specialty of Sadanand and it was orange base thick gravy with tender Rajma. Decent!

Aloo Paratha: Bit greasy, tasteful and tender with appropriate filling.

Tandoori Roti: Wheat dough perfectly done, soft and warn when served.

Total @Rs 1286, very reasonable for overall package.

Great ambiance, Great food, great service, low price!

Must visit place!
