There was huge rush as usual. We needed to wait at least 10 minutes at the entry even after reservation and on time arrival. Got the table on the kitchen entry and felt like sitting on railway platform; requested for table change the staff was cooperative enough to acknowledge.
Orange Sarbat probably exhausted hence Limbu Sarbat was served.
Sandwich Dhokla was dry.
Veg cutlet was average.
Fulkas were flat (returned).
Hot Bajri Rotla (miniature) with Ghee and Jaggery was great.
Hot Palak Puri was nice.
Mix Veg was average.
Aloo Kaju dry was decent.
Chawli Usal did not have salt; tasted awful.
Probably Paneer exhausted hence Kofta was served. It was more “Mangoda” and less “Kofta”.
Dahi Vada sweet as usual hence did not eat much.
Gujrati Kadhi did not taste well.
Kashmiri Pulav did not taste well and appeared a mix of ingredients prepared in a hurry.
Dal Fry and plain long grain Rice was very good (rescued me).
Anjir Mawa Roll was good.
Ras Malai was very good and had 3 generous serving.
Pickles were not served (did they stop recently!).
PAN at the exit.
@Rs250; I will still rate it good to average (looking at the surrounding crowed)
Well!!! This Saturday visit to Sukanta for lunch was not up to the mark and it was not the same “Sukanta” which we have known since past many years.
The menu was below par and the selection of preparations was also odd this time. There was a change in the menu too (probably stuff exhausted) but not for good.
One thing which has not changed over the years is politeness and caring nature of the staff.
