“Upmarket Amrut-Tulya challenging branded coffee shops!”

Located opposite Karishma Building (off Karve Road), I have never seen much hustle bustle at this place compared to others but I have never seen it empty either.
Along with true Indian tea they also serve coffee, cold beverages, Desi snacks, sandwiches etc.
Ambiance is little difference when compared with those branded coffee shops. They have 2-3 tables outside in the open and 4-5 high rise tables inside the shop. Posters of old classic movies on the wall. A man sipping the tea from the saucer (read BASHI) caught my eye!!!
Asked for Masala Chai @Rs30 along with bread butter @Rs40. It took 5 minutes to serve. The tea was hot, strong and had very nice flavor of cinnamon. Good! The breads were soft and low on butter. Nice!
Since the tea was served in a glass which was slightly bigger compared to common “cutting chai” glass; it was not enough and tried Ginger tea@Rs30 next.
Strong tea with deep and sharp flavor of ginger packed a powerful punch which resulted in mild sweating on forehead. Great!
Vada Pav appeared popular dish of the place because a few other patrons were having it and asking for more.
Total Rs100 for 2 tea glasses and bread butter.
