“Very nice oriental food; Kids friendly place!”
It was late evening on weekday when we reached the Salt. There was no crowd and parked opposite to restaurant on the road. The entry was from the hidden side (the front door was closed).
We were asked usual questions like booking or no booking, how many of us, preferences etc and based on our inputs were requested to move to the restaurant upstairs.
I was surprised to see the space they have got at this property which is unimaginable from outside. Low illumination, decent décor, mild background score; overall it was nice ambiance.
We were asked if we would like to sit in main hall or kids’ friendly area! Well, we went with kiddo’s choice and opted for kids’ friendly hall. It was nice to see that one corner was dedicated for the kids as play area with lots of stuff.
Asked for Oriental Menu and also went through kids menu kept on the table.
Asked for Chicken Nuggets@Rs200 “in running” from the “kids menu”. It was served in a jiffy. Six nuggets (ready to fry types) were served with some French fries and sauce in plate meant for kids. The spoons and the glass provided were also matching with the plate. Very thoughtful!
Asked for chopsticks and were made available.
Skipped the soups and went for the main course.
Crispy Veg Sweet and Sour@Rs180: Assorted vegetables batter coated; deep fried, wok tossed with red sweet, sour and little spicy sauce with garlic. Decent!
Haka Noodles Veg@Rs170: Nicely done noodles with capsicum, onion and carrot, little higher on oil but without any extra sauce or spices except some black pepper; very nice!
Burnt Garlic Rice Veg@Rs200: Fried white rice, spring onion, carrots, beans and deep flavor of burnet garlic. Nice!
Budhdha Delight in Hunan Sauce@Rs210: Assorted vegetables including baby corn, mushroom, Chinese cabbage and sweet red chilies in soy base sauce; slightly spicy. Good!

Complimentary Roasted Papadams.
Green chutney was good.
One unwanted flying visitor which must be avoided!!!
Total @Rs 1236 (Taxes etc Rs66)… a decent sum.
