“Decent place for Rajsthani Dal-Bati-Churma-Gatta-Laal Chutney in this part of town”

This pure veg place on Baner Road (near Balewadi Chowk) has come up some time ago.
Two halls; the ground floor hall has 10-12 table and the first floor one too has similar capacity. Ambiance is like general mess or canteen.

Menu reads “Real Dal-Bati-Churma and Indian, Chinese, Tandoori”.
Meal option is available as Thali (two types… general and special Rajasthani) and A-La-Carte.
General Thali is served upstairs but A-La-Carte and Special Thali available on ground floor.

I tried “take away” Special Rajasthani Dal Bati Churma Thali (costs Rs 150/thali, parcel extra)
There were 4 Batis, 1 portion Dal, 1 portion Besan Gatta, 1 portion Choorma, Rajasthani red chutney.
The Batis which appeared made in coal fired oven were soft and well cooked.
Dal was spicy and hot.
Besan Gatta were in oil rich thick gravy. Spicy and hot.
Churma was low on sugar with some dry fruit.
It was as close as one can get to Rajsthani Dal-Bati-Churma-Gatta-Laal Chutney in this part of town.

Must try place.

Caution: Portions are small and if you are not a frugal eater take more extra veg plates and Batis along.
