“Nice Panjabi food which will surely remind you canteen or small eateries (if you have spent time in Delhi!!!)”
This place exists since past so many years without much change in taste with some changes in setup. Eateries in similar setup and taste are very common across north but it is rare for Pune.
Being operated form small place with closely packed dining area. No frills.
Though I have never gone beyond Thali, Paratha and Lassi; they have other stuff like Choley-Bhatura, some other snacks and sweets (read south Indian) as well.
It was late evening and it was normal Thali which came with Fulka/Roti, portions of Yellow dal, Sabzi (aloo-mutar gravy), Rice, mix salad and curd (fresh, thick and sour). Authentic Panjabi pickle is complementary.
Both Dal and Sabzi were decently spicy. Fulkas/Rotis were warm and soft. Nice taste, filling as well.
Value for money: 4
Overall: 3.5 to 4.0
At times, the rice gets over and they prepare fresh which takes some time. Though you will be informed when you order but no harm checking.
If you are expecting decent taste Panjabi food at average cost; you will not be disappointed. This place doesn’t burn a hole in your pocket.
