This review is based on foodie meetup by invitation for tasting select preparation at “Firsco” courtesy PT and PS!
I arrived bit late and joined the action post midway.
Seating at the level as you enter to the restaurant and as well as at the low rise mezzanine.
Clustered seating, light colors with contrast on contemporary style furniture and tiled floor, nice illumination levels; overall soothing ambiance.
It was detailed set menu for the event but I could only try pasta, pizza, curry-rice and desert.
Pasta Chicken Mamarossa: Penne in yellow-orange tangy sauce and cheese with some greens. The chicken was like add-on and could have been easily replaced by prawns or meat. Nice concept and good taste!
Pizza Verdure: Well! It was not that Verdure and only had green peas, broccoli, red onion and basil; but one of the thinnest crust in recent times. I could feel noncommercial in-house sauce using tomato, basil and oregano combination which was working wonders. Excellent!
Pizza Cornish Chicken: Again very thin crust, loaded with chicken chunks, corns, herbs and laced with same sauce. It was decent!
Thai Vegetable Curry and steam Rice: Mildly spicy coconut based curry having flavor and fragrance of basil and lemongrass with partially crunchy vegies served on bed of steamed rice. So far so good!
Black Pepper Chicken: Tried a few morsels and regretted trying big portion of Thai curry and rice. Sauté bell peppers and zucchini placed over bed of mashed potato served with grilled chicken covered under brawn sauce plated with balsamic vinegar. It was wow!
Chocolate brownie with ice cream: Vanilla scoop served on a small brownie and garnished with mint leaves. It was average!
Chocolate indulgence: This was the showstopper not absolutely excellent but there was no problem either!
Brief discussion with Chef Saurabh about the preparations and some other technical details appreciation for Pizza sauce as well as thin crust Pizzas.
