Though limited bandwidth but one of the best non-veg food I have eaten at Ahmedabad!

Located near Tej Motors on SG Highway, this place serves very good food (whatever I have tried).

A big hall with particular type of seating arrangement, colorful interiors, posters and pics on the walls from American past; it resembled an American Diner (which is full form of MAD … Modern American Diner)

a La Carte Soup-Salad, starters, mains from Global, Pan Asian and Indian cuisines. A few combos, desserts, Mocktails and beverages. A few Parsi and Goan preparations as well!

Tried- Indian cuisine

Since we were hungry, went straight for the mains.

Egg lababdar: Boiled eggs served with relatively thicker gravy which appeared creamy and tomato based (theoretically incorrect but practically tasteful). Very good!

Gosht Bemisal: Very tender mutton chunks served in brown, oily, thinner yet coarse gravy with feel of onions and touch of ginger. Tasteful preparation and mutton melted in the mouth. Excellent! (Met the Chef and greeted)

Garlic Naan, Kulcha and Roti: Tender, served warm!

Hydarabadi Biryani: It was close to Palak biryani (don’t get me wrong but green veg biryani doesn’t really mean Hyderabadi Biryani!) but taste was good and portion size was decent!

Summary –

Ambiance: 4

Taste: 4

Food quality: 4

Service: 3 (bit sluggish; blame it on crowd)

Value for money: 3.5

Overall: 4

Worth mentioning:

Mutton preparation, Taste, Generous portion sizes, Popcorns (2 serving) helped sustain while waiting for the food.
