Appeared focused restaurant for guests staying at the hotel!

About 10 of us met around 7:30 in the evening to bid adieu to one of our colleagues.

They have a lounge area with a pool table and bar counter; another separate smoking friendly open air seating and dining area (which was full of mosquitoes that evening) between above two; there is a big hall where buffet as well as seating arrangement for patrons is available.
Cleanliness could have been better (see housefly on one of the buffet plates), decent illumination levels, moderately loud numbers in the background; overall… OK atmosphere for dining.

Limited choice in beer (only one brand by pint available). We were told that the keg of another brand which was supposed to be available on tap….exhausted. Limited choice of hard drinks as well (a few popular IMFLs and a few popular imported brands).

On buffet… Select salad spread, DIY Rayta, Papdi Chat, Dahi Vada (with sweet curd), a veg and a non veg soup, two veg and non veg starters, 3 veg and 2 non veg mains, rice, breads, noodles, five desserts (ice cream, Gulabjamun, fruit custard, pastries and Halwa). The preparations were from various cuisines and hardly gel with each other.

Tasted almost everything; nothing tasted bad but nothing tasted great!

Overall average dining experience!!!

Ambiance: 3.5
Food taste: 3
Food quality: 3.5
Service: 3.5
Value for money: 3.5
Overall: 3.0 to 3.5

Worth mentioning:

Could notice a few female patrons in Pijamas (read sleepwear) at dining hall and I am assuming that they were hotel guests.

A malfunctioning packing item which was deployed for proper rotation of hot case lid. It popped out at least 5 times in 2 hours with a “big bang”, pulling attention of the guests as well scaring some of them who were serving themselves nearby.

Very expensive beer.
