Decent Chinese at decent rates!!!
It takes about 3 hours plus from Bengaluru International Airport to Hosur Industrial Area with low traffic conditions. Took pit stop for the lunch on the way at Yo! China which is located at Marathahalli. The place was nearly empty when we waked in but it was nearly half filled with groups of techies when we got up and it was a weekday.
Yo! China chain is one of the Chinese option available to tier1 and tier2 cities (though they have a few outlets in some of the metros as well).
Relatively calm environment with closely spaced seating arrangement and decent table sizes. Wood brown and red theme with pictures and artifacts around to generate “oriental feel”!
Menu had Soups, Appetizers, Dimsums, Noodles, Rice and Desserts along with non-alcoholic beverages (including Jaritos… which is plain or flavored Mojito without alcohols served in a Jar). Bowl Meal options available! They serve Pork as well.
Tried:
Chicken Dimums- Piping hot, served in dimsum basket made up of bamboo. Shredded non spicy tender chicken and succulent vegies. Nice!
Chicken Haka Noodles- Low on oil, relatively dry noodle with carrot Juliennes, chopped spring onions, small chunks of chicken. Good!
Mix Meat Fried Rice- Loose rice and relatively oily preparation (not very oily though) with diced carrots, chopped spring onion and chunks of 3-4 types of meat. OK!
Chicken HongKong- It can be called Chicken Hot Pot! Chicken pieces in orange-brown soy based gravy with chopped onions, carrots, bell peppers etc served in a wok. A small candle lamp to give feel of hot pot (ineffective though). No regrets!
Classic Jarito- Virgin Mojito served in a Jar which was bit sweeter and we ordered a soda for correction!
Devils Chocolate Cake with Ice Cream- Chocolate brownie topped up with lots of commercial chocolate sauce and served with Vanilla ice-cream and dry noodles. Decent!
Decent service!
Overall…Good above average Chinese preparations (Indian touch) at decent rates!
