“Nice oriental cuisine with some inspired preparations as well… a fine dine place at premium rates!!!”

“Shizusan”… a faceless traveler, who tries local cuisines wherever he goes, brings the taste along and it is served here at “Shizusan” as explained by Deepti (VP Mktg The Phoenix Mills Ltd.& Bellona Hospitality) … great concept indeed!
Location… Ground floor, Phoenix Market City!

One can opt to sit outside under canopies at courtyard else air-conditioned L shaped hall with bar cum serving counter at the corner. Decently illuminated with conventional seating arrangement; place has an “Oriental touch” evident in the ambiance.

My “Sushi” experience in Pune took place at “Shizusan”. First time it was during a food tasting event and next time with family in quick succession.

Nine types of “Sushi” preparations having touch of global flavors served along with “Kikkoman” and Wasabi… were lip smacking and finger licking good. I could clearly feel the taste and the flavor of each and every ingredient used. Caution: Though must with “Sushi”; make sure you take not more than a pinch of it.
3 of them I liked the most
“No’ri Maki” which was stuffed with asparagus, cucumber, mayo and wrapped in spinach.
“The Saigon” which was stuffed with papaya, carrots, long beans and garnished with burnt garlic and crushed peanuts.
“Chiang Mai Roll” which was stuffed with mango slices and coconut rice and garnished with sesame seeds.

During second visit, along with “Sushi” I also tried Veg Dimsums as well as Malay style Chicken Satay served with peanut based sauce and classic mud pie (big hit with chocolate loving kiddo). Nice preparations and taste!

“Great taste indeed!!!”

They also serve alcoholic beverages.

Overall… Great place for Oriental food lovers!
