Decent VFM place… if one is “Ok” with sluggish service and delay.

Old pals (seven of us) from auto industry who have once worked together; usually meet up once in two months over drinks and food. This time one of us suggested Villa Casa near Nashik Phata flyover.

Reached their early (about 5:30 to 6:00 PM) so that we can wind it up early. Before seating we inquired and confirmed that kitchen was up and running also that we can be served immediately.

Exteriors of the place look fabulous. The entire property is not the restaurant but only part of it. They have very limited parking space for cars inside the premises.

A hall with very low illumination having different types of seating options available (air-conditioned) there are a few open air tables as well; decent background score. Overall; the place appeared fine to start with.

Full bar with lots of options from hard and mild alcoholic beverages (including imported beers and liquors; cocktails and mocktails.
Very wide band food menu with many preparations from Indian, Continental, Mexican, Far-East and Oriental cuisines. They have some sizzlers as well.

Tried

King Fisher drought tower:
Served in a jiffy but it had carbonation issue and beer was flat in almost 5 minutes.

Roasted Papad: It took almost 45 minutes to 1 hour and repeated follow-ups to get the first plate. Though the peanuts were served quickly.

King Fisher Pint Bucket:
Served quickly and the beer was at nice temperature.

Chicken Platter:
It took nearly 1 hour to serve. Assorted kebabs. The chicken was tender and juicy. Best preparation was chicken seekh kebab; medium spicy and mellow.

Tandoori Chicken:
Tender and juicy but the masala was little different than usual tandoori Chicken. Did not like the taste.

Green pees masala dry:
Very nice preparation in brown base and tasteful.

Corn Dry:
Again brown base dry preparation of absolutely crisp corns. Spicy to start and little sweet towards finish.

We also ordered main course but I did not try it coz I was supposed to leave early.

Overall food taste and quality was good but the charm was lost due to inefficient service.

Many calls to the staff and multiple reminders to serve the food… Till almost 8 PM; only one or two tables were occupied yet the service was below par and sluggish. Staff also appeared rookie (baring a few).

Summary-
Ambiance: 3
Food quality: 3.5
Food taste: 3.5
Service: 1
Value for money: 4
Overall: 3

Worth mentioning:
If you are reaching early and have 10 plus headcount; you inform them and they can start the tandoor early to serve you quickely.
If you are coming from Nashik Road side; don’t miss that cut just at the end of bridge else you need to make U at next signal.

For management: Please improve your service. If you can’t serve specific items in time due to various technical reasons; please tell clearly before accepting the orders guests.
Draught beer quality needs improvement.
